Music and film collide in what is Alma Har’el’s documentary ‘LoveTrue’ – it hasn’t officially received a release date, but it is set to be shown at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival. LoveTrue is a concoction created & directed by Israeli filmmaker Alma Har’el and produced by Shia LaBeouf – the film questions the notion of love and explores the question of whether ‘true love’ exists through the visual re-telling of three relationships.
The visual for LoveTrue is enthralling, but from what we can see it’s looking like it’s going to be a bittersweet watch as the documentary visits significant moments in the lives of Har’el’s muses, concentrating on past experiences to glimpses of the future. According to the synopsis LoveTrue is “an atmospheric blend of follow-along footage, artful camerawork, and scenes depicting the past, present, and future of her subjects, Har’el follows three complicated, real-life relationships as they unfold in distinct corners of the country.”
LoveTrue looks like it’s going to be both a visual and audio delight, especially as it has been scored by none other than Flying Lotus. Check out the trailer for LoveTrue below.
